Audubon - Thank-you cards.

I created five different versions to the front side of a postcard that are being sent out to people who contribute to the Audubon Society's local chapter and the Audubon Adventures program. They are pencil drawings I did while out birding.

In this first drawing, I can remember being struck by the smooth, sleek form of the bird, in contrast with the plowed, rumpled vegetation.

In the second drawing, this little chickadee spent hours flitting around this Douglas fir exploring and eating seeds

In the third drawing, I watched these juncos move around the landscape, and I often saw one posted on these white-washed stumps.

In the forth drawing, I watched one morning as a mixed flock of birds hopped about these mossy tree trunks.

In this fifth drawing, I watched these downy woodpeckers search for caterpillars (carrot seed moth) inside the stems of cow parsnip.
